The Proposed Budget represents the County's proposed spending plan for the coming fiscal year as well as an annual work plan
based on countywide priorities. The Proposed Budget also serves as a tool to inform the community about County government.
The FY 2006-07 Proposed Budget includes detailed information about County services and the County's finances and provides an
overall statistical profile of Marin County. Summary information about each department's most important goals, objectives,
and initiatives is also included in the Proposed Budget.
On June 20, 2006, the Board of Supervisors approved the Proposed Budget as an interim spending plan for the new fiscal
year that begins on July 1. Prior to offically adopting a final budget for FY 2006-07, the Board will hold public hearings
beginning on Monday, July 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Board chambers, located in Room 330 at the Marin County Civic Center
in San Rafael. The hearings are scheduled to continue on Wednesday, July 26.
In addition to the website, the FY 2006-07 Proposed Budget is available in both paper and electronic (CD) format through the
County Administrator’s Office, located in Room 325 at the Civic Center. The Proposed Budget is also available for review in all
